And I know one thing for certain. BECAUSE you’re empathic and highly sensitive, you CAN do things your way and still have mind-blowingly happy relationships, a fulfilling career, and a home of calm and comfort. It can feel easy despite the challenges. You can trust yourself. You can feel confident.

Most importantly, you can feel safe.

I know what it’s like to be told “you’re too sensitive.”

I know what it’s like to constantly wonder why someone’s face subtly shifted during conversation and immediately think, “did I do something wrong?”

I know what it’s like to worry all the time, amid never-ending uncertainty, constantly having to be dealing with the onslaught of the next damn thing, and wanting to make others happy in the process.

And all the while, it feels lonely. And lackluster. Even though you’re running yourself into the ground over it.

I see you.

The reason you feel all these ways?

You’re likely living in the past and may not even realize it. Trauma does that to us.

Your parents (or primary caregivers) were either absent, kinda mean, addicts, or some combination of those things.

It was hard, but you’ve moved on in a lot of ways.

Objectively, your life looks pretty successful now as an adult.

You might be overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed, but that’s life, right? You still fancy yourself doing well, all things considered.

You’re great at what you do—people respect your work ethic. They can depend on you. They’re actually used to relying on you, even though they don’t always think to ask you what you need too. You’re the go-to person at work because you’re great…no, not just great. Let’s be real: fan-f*cking-tastic at anticipating others’ needs and over delivering with uncompromising quality.

You might have a serious partner, spouse, a family of your own and the proverbial white picket fence, but…

You’re stressed to the point you can’t keep the days straight or remember what you ate for dinner yesterday.

You keep yourself busy, busy, busy, but then miss out on the little important moments.

You’ve avoided conflict for so long now that you’re in a constant state of dread—you just can’t figure out how to get out of it.

You’re resentful because you do everything at home or work and nobody else seems to be doing anything.

You’re absolutely exhausted—you just can’t keep up with all the things you used to do anymore.

Something’s off. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but you just don’t feel close to the people in your life.

You say things like:

“I just want to be myself again,” or “I just want to heal and move on.”

I can help you with that.

Because I’ve done it myself and I’ve also helped other people do it too! Let me guess…

You’ve tried some or all the traditional healing things, like:

  • Therapy and counseling (that wasn’t trauma informed)

  • Medication after medication

  • Or maybe you’ve been afraid to jump into therapy because of the stigma around mental health plus not knowing what can of worms it’ll open

  • Other forms of coaching (that weren’t trauma informed)

  • Seminars, webinars, courses

  • All the personal development and inspirational books

  • Following the spiritual gurus

  • Productivity hacks galore plus beating yourself up when you need to rest or feel like you’ve failed

These are all valid and can be excellent things to try (except the beating yourself up part!), but…

Taking action toward your goals that are firmly rooted in your truth and desires.

If all the choices you’re making are rooted in what someone else believes is best for you or is what you “should” be doing, then it will never work and actually feel good.

To get you to that place, I work with you to get to the root of the issue while also getting to the heart of who YOU are and healing it in the ways that work for you, equipping you to manage your future healing and change old habits.

I’m you on the other side of suffering. And so are my clients.

And while I can’t promise that healing will be easy or will happen over night or that you’ll never experience stressful situations and obstacles again, what I can promise is that if you’re willing to set goals toward wellness and happiness and work toward them, you will see results and learn how to navigate those situations better.

My clients have crushed goals like:

  • Naturally decreasing daily anxiety from a 10 to a 3

  • Processing grief and forgiving her parents

  • Finding a job that works better for her natural sleep cycles and moving to the mountains where it’s more peaceful

  • Reuniting with an estranged parent with boundaries in place

  • Going from not wanting to get out of bed to releasing kick ass music

  • Creating a budgeting system with his partner that works for both of them, which strengthened their marriage

  • Saying no to going from one romantic partner to the next and finding someone who respects her boundaries

  • Healing from divorce

  • Getting back into a swimming pool after years of fear around it

  • Embracing the transition into retirement more

  • Standing up for herself, even though it was terrifying, to an important person who was taking advantage

And there have been so many more wins. But they all started in the same place: hurting, controlled by trauma responses, unsure of what to do next, but believing there has to be a better way, and ready to find it.

But who am I, really?

I’m a house of contradictions. I’m Earthy but spacey. Artsy but sciency. Esoteric but transparent. Spiritual but not religious. Can be super practical, but believe with all my heart we can manifest anything we can think or dream. Love the natural world, but geek out over the supernatural. All for holistic health but know there’s a time and place for western medicine. I rely on logic and intellect, but also trust my gut and follow my heart. I like to know the rules so I can choose which ones to break. I love tattoos but don’t have one. I don’t mind surface-level chit chat, if it’s genuine without ulterior motives, but prefer to dig deep.

I guess you could say I like balance, flexibility, and open-mindedness.

At the heart of it all is a love for humanity in all of its diverse glory, a deep curiosity and need to keep learning, and a creative old soul.

I’m a super excited mom to a lot of boys and one cat, a wife to the hottest musician and software engineer husband (a second marriage for us both), and I have a big blended, complex family.

I’ve excelled at healing my own trauma that started with childhood abandonment and emotional abuse that then rippled out into my adulthood, as it does. And, perhaps most importantly…

I’m all parts of me, and that’s beautiful. I want you to feel the same way about yourself.

I live life on my own terms now.
